UPSTREAM MEKONG RIVER SAIGON TO PHNOMPENH

DAY 1: SAIGON ARRIVAL (D)

Upon arrival at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, you will be met our guide and transferred to hotel for check-in. Free at leisure till welcome dinner at a local restaurant.

Overnight in Saigon.

DAY 2: SAIGON EXCURSION (B/L/D)

After breakfast, we commence a day tour with a visit to Cuchi Tunnels, located 70km northwest of Ho Chi Minh City, built and used by the Viet Cong during Vietnam War. It took 25 years to construct this tunnel and it stands today as a symbol of struggle of the Vietnamese. This Tunnel consists of more than 200km of underground tunnels, many branches connecting to underground hideouts, shelters, and entrances to other tunnels and home to more than 16,000 communist guerillas and sympathizers during the war. The underground network provided sleeping quarters, meeting rooms, hospitals, and other social rooms. Visiting the Cu Chi Tunnels provides a better understanding of the prolonged resistance war and also of the persistent and clever character of the Vietnamese.

Back to Ho Chi Minh for lunch, then take a city tour with a visit to the Independence Palace, formerly the Presidential Palace, the home to the last 3 President of South Vietnam; War Museum which exhibits photographs and weapons of the Vietnam War. Followed by shopping at Ben Thanh Market, the city’s central market that is packed with all kinds of local wares and souvenirs famous for wholesaler trading. Dinner will be served on a traditional junk boat while cruising along the Saigon River.

DAY 3: SAIGON - CAIBE - TANCHAU (B/L/D)

Today, we leave the bustle of the city behind for a day of exploring scenic rice fields, waterways and colorful markets of the Mekong Delta. Upon Caibe port arrival, we board a luxury wooden boat, named Mekong Feeling Cruise. Enjoy the welcoming tropical fruit juice and your lunch is served on board while the cruise will start towards Sade, upon arrival we commence an overland excursion with a visit to Sadec Flower Garden, the homeland of hundreds of uncanny flowers and strange herbs, the forest of flowers of all colors and aroma. Afterwards back to the Mekong Feeling to enjoy handmade snacks, sip the cocktail of your choice while experiencing the sunset view on board. Dinner will be served on board while the cruise keep on going to Tan Chau and anchor at a peaceful place where you will spend a calming night on board.

DAY 4: TANCHAU - PHNOMPENH (B/L/D)

Today you will get up very early to catch the magic dawn in Mekong Delta and enjoy the breakfast while our cruise continues to Vinh Xuong - Kaom Samnar river border gate, the border of Vietnam and Cambodia. After finishing visa procedures, the cruise continues upstream the Mekong River to Phnompenh. Lunch is served on board. The cruise then makes a short stop where you take a walk on the village road; visit a Kh’me temple and a small Cambodian village where vermicelli are produced in a traditional way. Back to the cruise, you will enjoy handmade snacks, sip on the cocktail of your choice while experiencing the last sunset view on board. By 19:00 you will enjoy the farewell dinner on board. Overnight on board.

DAY 5: PHNOMPENH

Today you will get up very early to catch the last magic dawn in Mekong Delta and start a new day with a learn of Taichi lessons while the cruise towards Phnompenh. After breakfast, you will receive your hand-made souvenir gift then let’s enjoy the last precious minutes of tranquility on your cruise before saying goodbye to our captain & cabin crew and checking out at 09:30am at Sisowat Quay in Phnompenh. Our guide and vehicle will take you to Shadow puppet workshop where you can explore the Cambodian Shadow puppets, traditional musical instruments, masks and paintings then transfer to hotel for check-in. In the afternoon, we start the excursion with a visit to Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda, National museum and the last visit to Toul Sleng museum. After dinner, you are free at leisure or explore the capital of Phnompenh.
Overnight in Phnompenh.

DAY 6: PHNOMPENH DEPARTURE (B)

After breakfast, free and easy until the time to transfer to the airport for your flight out.
